Rick Nunn is a 27 year old Graphic Designer/Web Designer/User Interface Designer/Geek based in the United Kingdom. He is also very passionate about Photography, and takes some absolutely incredible photos.

Rick not long ago completed his first ever Project 50, meaning he took one photo per day for 50 days, using a 50mm lens – pretty good dedication, eh? He is currently on his second Project 50, which we will showcase here upon completion!

@Rick, our pleasure. Keep up the excellent work! :)

Neat idea. I like. Some great shots there… esp like the low light shots of people like 36 and 42… I recently got myself a 50mm lens, and I’m lovin it.

  • James 21 Jul 2010

Awesome shots… They are really expressive… Thanks for sharing. :)

  • Daisy 21 Jul 2010

    Great shots!

nice idea with a few interesting photographs. Perhaps 50 is slightly much for this artist? Some photos are repetitive and uninteresting.

I hate to say it, but 50 photos in 50 days isn’t terribly impressive. Many people on flickr do a 365 project where they take a photo of themselves everyday for a year. One person in particular (a friend of mine) has done several years in a row, and the majority of the photos was with a 50mm.

  • Benjamin Reid 11 Aug 2010

@SD: It’s not about quantity it’s quality. I’d take just one of Rick’s photos rather 365 shots of someone taking pictures of themselves with a webcam (which requires about zero skill).

It’s not the number that’s impressive, it’s the quality of the shots. And it’s quite fitting that Rick takes 50 shots, with a 50mm.

If you’ve still got a problem with that, pretend the project is named something else, appreciate the work mate.

I agree – if you take a look at Rick’s website you’ll see that he plans each one of his photos everyday, from sketching to location and what equipment he should use in his set-up. The work is top-notch! :)

a few awsome shots……indeed an inspirational effort that may be leading the way for many of the beginners like myself.

There a lot of really good and affordable 50mm lenses out there, it really just comes down to which brand your prefer. They are all quite good.

Great photos for a great project. I run a similar project that i started in 2007, to shoot the world around me with a 50mm lens but at f/1.8.
